COLLABORATION BETWEEN DAYBEST AND EVA TO IMPROVE AGRICULTURAL YIELD IN INDIA
On Wednesday, the 28th of July the much-awaited Kisaan Station Portal for Govt. of Chhattisgarh and Haryana was officially inaugurated.
Alongside of it, it is our honour to announce our official partnership with Indian-based enterprise Daybest. Daybest and EVA are joining forces to capitalize on the tremendous opportunity to improve agricultural practices by systematically implementing drone technology into conventional practices.
With the market for agricultural drones reaching a whopping $1.3 billion, UAVs are able to fill the gap of human error and inefficiency by traditional farming methods. In 2020, agriculture employed more than 50% of the Indian work force and contributed 17–18% to country’s GDP.
It is our aim to improve the livelihood of India’s population, whilst boosting productivity and crop-yield. There are several ways in which drones help farmers with agricultural challenges, mainly in the area of soil and field planning: Drones can be used for soil and field analysis for irrigation, fertilisation and planting activities including checking nutrient levels, moisture concentrations, and erosion, among others.
Drones offer farmers the ability to measure and monitor their crops themselves and translate that into precise application maps. EVA’s Vertical Station’s offer the best support for this, ensuring the smooth operation of drone missions, coupled with on-premise data analysis capabilities in a sheltered environment.
Our partnership with Daybest was officially announced in the presence of Dr. Prem Kumar Honourable MLA and Ex Agriculture Minister, Bihar, Sridhar Easwaran Sir, Sr. VP of Samunnati Financial Intermediation & Services Private Limitedand other dignitaries from all over the world.
‘We are very grateful for this partnership. Drones have the potential to significantly improve sustainable agriculture and increase crop yields, which would directly impact the livelihoods of local people’, says CEO of EVA, Olivier Le Lann. It is a goal that is central to both companies’ vision.
